Our Journey

In Spanish, it means “a lot”, but it’s more than just quantity. It’s about shared joy in handfuls, about moments that taste better when they’re shared.

We believe that quality and freshness should come in generous amounts. Because the best things — cookies, love, laughter — are always better by montón.

Hola, I’m Luigi!

Montón was baked with four main ingredients:

  1. A burnt tortilla (yes, really — every good story starts with a kitchen disaster)
  2. My lifelong search (and crafting) of my forever-no-need-to-keep-looking chocolate chip cookie
  3. An operations class during my MBA paired with my little oven in Mexico City
  4. A push from my friends and family
  5. And a big desire to share something warm and personal with the people around me.

From there, the mixing began — testing recipes, naming bucket sizes, building a brand, and taste-testing way more cookies than I’ll ever admit.Montón is my reminder that good things take time, a little creativity, and a lot of butter.

Every cookie we bake is a little piece of that journey — crafted to bring people together, spark joy, and remind us that good things are worth waiting for.
